Makes an enormous reach while leaving behind logic. The lead performance is solid, but ultimately only has two speeds. Susan Davis as the resident former actress is pretty spectacular, and it’s unfortunate that the film didn’t lean more into this character. The cult at the center never really seems coherent, or practical considering their recruitment methods. Far easier to brainwash someone who WANTS to be part of your organization after all.
