The deep dive horror documentaries are absolutely amazing entertainment and inspiration for those of us sitting at home who often feel like we’ve seen everything. The original In Search of Darkness gave me a few additions to my “to watch” list, but most of the films were pretty standard pulls as we wandered through the 80s. With Part II, it’s thrilling to go far deeper, and explore different sectors of horror as collections. The contributors are universally excellent, and Tom Atkins continues to be one of the most joyfully enthusiastic supporters of the genre. With this flick’s deep cuts, I think there is a nearly perfect 9 hour encapsulation of a decade of horror here.
