Aside from a few minor missteps (convoluted reveal, showing the creature too much in the climax) this was a very well crafted bit of indie horror. Impressively, the filmmakers manage to infuse folk horror, body horror, Spielbergian summer adventure, and Hitcockian voyeurism and it all works in a lovely harmony, delivering laughs, scares, titilation, and excitement. Not at all what I expected from the rather traditional low budget horror poster. A delight.
