Is it subtle? No. This is a film that puts haters vs lesbians and then lesbians vs haters front and center, and, yunno, that’s alright. It definitely presents the dilemma of, when so many people demonstrate hate to you, how can you trust to be around anyone who looks like that. Thankfully written from the female perspective, and free of sexual assault, this table turning revenge film gives us some satisfying catharsis even if it’s not entirely earned.
