As a once indie filmmaker, I can admire the ingenuity and audaciousness that led to this film. The best of indie film leads us to wish we’d thought to do that first, and this is no exception. Katie Featherston is naturalistic and believable, even when the intensity gets ratcheted up. For a film that relies on long stretches of essentially surveillance footage to tell its story, I was quite impressed by how engaged I was and invested in the outcome. Even if that felt a bit cheap.
